Herbert sat on the sofa. He wanted to control the TV. Brian wanted to play video games.

"Dad, I want to watch my show!" Brian said.
Herbert sighed. "Just a bit longer, Brian. The news is almost over."

Margot walked in. "Herbert, have you seen my keys? I need to go to the Corner Shop."
Herbert pointed the control at the TV. "They're already on the table, dear."

Brian grabbed the remote. "My turn!"

Later, at the Corner Shop, Margot saw Mrs. Gable. They started to talk.
"And then, Herbert said he'd clean the garage. But he didn't!" Margot said.
"Men!" Mrs. Gable laughed. "They always say they will, but they don't."

At home, Herbert decided to continue watching TV. He forgot about the garage. He hoped Margot wouldn't notice.
