Herbert sat on the sofa. He felt very uncomfortable. The sofa was new, and the springs were hard.

Margot walked in. "What's wrong, Herbert?" she asked.

"This sofa is awful!" Herbert replied. "It's like sitting on a rock."

Margot sighed. "I told you we should have bought the other one. The one with the fur on it."

"But that one was so...ugly!" Herbert protested. "It looked like a giant, hairy beast!"

Brian walked in, carrying a strange object. "Look what I made in art class!" he said proudly.

It was a clay sculpture. It looked like a lumpy potato with eyes.

Herbert stared at it. "Well, that's...unique," he said.

Brian grinned. "I used a piece of rope to make the mouth!"

Margot looked at the sculpture, then at the sofa. "Maybe the fur sofa wouldn't have been so bad," she muttered. "At least it wouldn't be as hard as this!"
