Herbert was trying to relax on the sofa, remote in hand. Margot was cleaning. "Herbert, have you seen my ID?" she asked, looking thoroughly through her purse.

Herbert, without looking up from the TV, mumbled, "Check behind the donut box. That's usually where important things go."

Margot sighed. "Very funny. It's important, Herbert. I need it for my volunteer work at Oakhaven Elementary."

Suddenly, Brian burst into the room, waving a large, brightly coloured feather.

"Look what I found in the park! It's like something out of a magic show!" he exclaimed.

Margot paused her search. "Brian, where did you find that? And wash your hands!"

Brian ignored her and tickled Herbert's nose with the feather. Herbert sneezed dramatically.

"Maybe it's part of a magician's illusion," Brian mused, looking at the feather. "Maybe they made a bird disappear!"

Herbert, now fully awake, rubbed his nose. "Or maybe someone just lost a feather boa."

Margot gave them both a stern look. "Honestly, you two. I'm trying to find my ID. And Brian, go wash that feather! Who knows where it's been?" She then added quietly. "Maybe I can use a bit of creativity to make a temporary ID for myself."

Brian, with the feather still in hand, ran off towards the bathroom. Herbert, deciding the coast was clear, reached for another donut.
