Herbert shuffled into the kitchen, still in his pajamas. Margot was already at the table, sipping coffee and looking at a newspaper.
"Morning, dear," he mumbled. "Anything exciting happening in gorgeous Oakhaven today?"

Margot sighed. "Apparently, Mrs. Henderson’s cat is missing again. And someone painted a rather graphic mural on the side of the bakery."

Herbert blinked. "Graphic? As in… art? Or graphic as in… cats wearing tiny hats?"

Margot chuckled. "I believe the description included the phrase 'anatomically incorrect ponies'."

Herbert choked on his coffee. "Anatomically... Oh dear. Well, that's certainly… something. I hope they catch the artist before the children see it."

Just then, Brian burst into the kitchen, skateboard in hand.
"Hey! I gotta run! I'm meeting Leo at the park!"

Margot frowned. "Brian, you haven't had breakfast. And don't you have a math test today? It's fundamentally important!"

Brian waved dismissively. "I'll grab something later! Gotta go!"

He sped out the door before Margot could respond. Herbert watched him go, shaking his head.

"That boy," Margot said, exasperated. "He's going to end up needing an ambulance one of these days with all that reckless skateboarding."

Herbert patted her hand. "He'll be fine, dear. He's a Walker. We're tough."

Later that day, Herbert received a call from Oakhaven Elementary. It was Brian's teacher.
"Mr. Walker, Brian is claiming to have sprained his ankle skateboarding. He insists on going to the hospital in an ambulance. However, his story is incorrect."

Herbert sighed. "I'll be right there."

When Herbert arrived, he found Brian dramatically clutching his ankle, surrounded by concerned classmates.

"Brian," Herbert said sternly, "what's this all about?"

Brian looked up, feigning pain. "Dad! My ankle! It's fundamentally broken!"

Herbert raised an eyebrow. "Let me guess. You saw that mural, and those gorgeous anatomically incorrect ponies inspired you to new skateboarding heights?"

Brian's face fell. He knew he was caught.
