Herbert sat on the sofa, remote in hand. Margot walked in, holding a strange piece of artwork.

Margot: Herbert, what do you think of this? I found it at the flea market.

Herbert, without looking up from the TV: Looks… interesting.

Margot: It's supposed to be a representation of…inner peace through martial arts.

Herbert finally glanced at the sculpture. It was a twisted metal figure attempting a yoga pose.

Herbert: Looks more like someone trying to reach the last donut. That's hilarious.

Margot sighed. Brian entered, skateboarding through the living room.

Brian: Whoa, Mom, cool art! Is that, like, a robot doing the…crane kick?

Margot: Something like that, Brian. Now, please don't skate indoors.

Brian: Okay, okay. I'm off to find Sarah. Apparently, Mrs. Davison, the broadcaster from channel 6, will be at the park giving a speech.

Herbert: A speech? About what? Maybe she'll talk about where to find the best pizza deals.

Margot: Herbert!

Brian: Something about community service, I think. See ya!

He skated out the door. Margot shook her head.

Margot: Sometimes I wish we had a spokeswoman to explain what goes on in that boy's head.

Herbert: Don't worry, Margot. He's just being a kid. Now, about that donut…
