Herbert adjusted his tie, a small villager of Oakhaven about to enter the bustling city of Oakhaven Industries. "Wish me luck, Marge," he said, grabbing a donut.
Margot sighed, wiping flour from her hands. "Luck with what, Herbert? Avoiding work again?"
Herbert chuckled, crumbs flying. "No, no! Today, I'm an enthusiast for safety! A real stickler!"

At Oakhaven Industries, a new 'safety spotlight' initiative had begun. Herbert, of course, saw it as an opportunity for an easy 'employee of the month' title and bonus.
He patrolled the factory floor, eyes darting around. Suddenly, he saw Brian, who was supposed to be at school, messing with some machinery.

"Brian! What are you doing here?" Herbert asked, trying to sound stern but mostly sounding surprised.
Brian shrugged. "School's boring. I wanted to see what you actually do all day. Plus," he grinned, "I thought I could defy gravity with this conveyor belt."

Herbert blinked. "Defy gravity? That's… unwise. And against company policy. And against the laws of physics!"
Brian pointed at a poster of a cartoon safety bear. "The imagery on that poster is all wrong. He looks too happy for a workplace accident!"

Herbert massaged his temples. The 'safety spotlight' was dimming quickly. "Just…go back to school, Brian. And I'll 'forget' I saw you here."
Brian grinned, grabbed a handful of bolts, and darted off. Herbert watched him go, then sighed and reached for another donut. Safety was exhausting.

Later, at dinner, Margot asked, "How was the safety spotlight, dear?"
Herbert mumbled through a mouthful of mashed potatoes. "Let's just say Oakhaven Industries is still…full of surprises."
Margot raised an eyebrow. "Did Brian have anything to do with it?"
Herbert choked on his potatoes. "Who, Brian? Never heard of him."
