Herbert sat at the kitchen table. He wanted to be a writer.

Margot walked in. "Herbert, what are you doing?"

"I'm writing a book! I will be rich!" Herbert said with a smile.

Margot looked at his paper. It only had one sentence.

"That's expensive paper for one sentence," she said. "And how will that make you rich?"

Herbert sighed. "I will sell it! Then I'll buy a better telephone.

Brian walked into the kitchen. "Can I use the phone? I need to call Tom."

Herbert frowned. "Our phone is fine! I don't need an expensive one now"

Margot smiled. "Dinner is ready. The lasagna smells wonderful!"

Herbert forgot about writing. He loved lasagna. "Wonderful lasagna? I am hungry!"

Later, Margot found Herbert asleep on the couch. The paper with one sentence was on his chest.

Margot smiled. Herbert was not a good writer, but he was her Herbert.
