Herbert was sitting on the roof, trying to fix the TV antenna. Margot was in the garden below.

Margot called up, "Herbert, be careful! And what about the electricity? Did you turn it off?"

Herbert yelled back, "Of course, Margot! Relax!"

Just then, Brian skated by on the sidewalk.

He saw Herbert on the roof and shouted, "Dad! The gate is open! Molly might get out!"

Herbert sighed. "Brian, close the gate, please! I'm busy!"

Brian closed the gate. Then he looked up at the sky. "Wow, Dad! Look at all the pollution!"

Herbert glanced up. The sky was grey. "Yeah, yeah. Now go inside. I'm trying to get a signal."

Suddenly, Herbert saw something shiny near the antenna. It looked like silver.

"Margot!" he shouted. "I found something silver up here! Maybe it's treasure!"

Margot rolled her eyes. "It's probably just some old foil, Herbert. Come down before you fall."

Herbert picked it up. It was foil. He sighed. "Okay, okay. But what if it *was* treasure?"

Margot smiled. "Then we could buy a new TV. And maybe fix the roof properly."
