Herbert sat at the kitchen table. His printer wasn't working again.

Margot walked in. "What's wrong, Herbert?" she asked.

"This silly printer! It won't print my lottery ticket!" Herbert said. "I have a good feeling about this one."

Margot sighed. "Herbert, you buy a lottery ticket every week. And about the clothing, did you remember to take Brian's uniform to dry cleaning?"

"Oh!" Herbert exclaimed. "I was having a nice chat with Frank at The Dog & Duck, and I completely forgot!".

Margot frowned. "Frank again? You need to focus, Herbert. And maybe consider selling your possession, that old ski suit, instead of buying lottery tickets".

Brian walked in, holding his skateboard. "Mom, I need my uniform for tomorrow!" He looked at Herbert. "Dad, seriously?".

Herbert looked guilty. "Okay, okay. I'll go now. But first, maybe a donut…"

Margot shook her head, smiling a little. "Just go, Herbert."

Herbert stood up. "Maybe I'll win this time! Then I can buy everyone new clothing and a super fancy new ski set!". He grabbed his jacket and left.

Brian looked at Margot. "He's dreaming again, isn't he?".

Margot nodded. "Yes, Brian. But it's okay. Let's go check the printer and see if we can fix it."

"Maybe Laura can help?" Brian suggested. "She knows everything about computers."

"Good idea," Margot said. "Let's go find her. Maybe she's not having a chat with her friends right now."
