Herbert was a businessman, but not a very good one. He had a small office downstairs in their house.

One day, Margot came downstairs. She smelled something strange.

"Herbert," she said, "what is that smell?"

Herbert smiled. "I'm trying a new business idea!" he said happily.

Margot looked around. There was a big poster on the wall. It said, "Oakhaven Beef Jerky!"

"Beef jerky?" Margot asked. "But you don't know how to make beef jerky!"

Herbert waved his hand. "Details, details! I'll learn. Everyone loves beef jerky! It will make us rich!"

Margot sighed. She saw a very burnt piece of beef on the table. "Herbert," she said, "maybe you should stick to your old job."

Herbert looked at the beef. It did not look very good. But he was still smiling happily. He really wanted to be a businessman.
