Herbert sat at the kitchen table, staring at a stack of papers. Margot walked in, carrying Molly.

Margot: What are you doing, Herbert? You look like you're facing a legal battle.

Herbert: It's about my job, Margot. Oakhaven Industries is changing its safety communication system. They want us to use new software.

Margot: Well, that sounds…modern.

Herbert: It would, if I understood it! I have to examine all these manuals. It's pages and pages! And my responsibility is to learn it. If not, they might make me work on the line! Imagine!

Molly gurgled and pointed at the papers.

Margot: Maybe Molly can help. She probably understands computers better than you.

Herbert: Ha! Very funny. But seriously, maybe I need an agent, someone to explain all this to me in plain English. Or maybe just bring me a donut?

Margot sighed. She knew Herbert. She put Molly down and picked up a manual. "Let's see if I can help. Start with page one."

Later, Brian walked in, skateboarding. He saw the manuals.

Brian: What's all this?

Herbert: Your dad's trying to avoid actual work. Apparently new software is a big problem.

Brian: Software? I can help! I know everything about computers.

Margot: Brian, really? You always say you're too busy to do homework.

Brian: This is different! This is…fun! I'll be your agent, Dad! I'll explain everything for a share of your donut supply.

Herbert looked at Margot, then at Brian. Maybe this wasn't so bad after all.
