Herbert walked into the kitchen, humming. Margot was packing Brian's lunch.

H: 'Morning, dear. Is my safe donut here?'

M: 'Herbert! It's seven in the morning. And it's Brian's donut.'

H: 'Sharing is caring! Besides, I had a dream about sprinkles.'

Brian walked in, grabbed his lunch. He saw his dad eyeing the donut.

B: 'Dad! Don't even think about it. I need it for energy. School is a long ride on the bus.'

H: 'Energy? I need energy to inspect those heavy boxes at Oakhaven Industries! It's tiring work, you know.'

M: 'You mostly check if the boxes are in a straight line, Herbert.'

Herbert sighed dramatically. 'It's still important! What if the boxes fall? Someone could get hurt!'

Brian rolled his eyes. 'Yeah, right. Like you'd lift a finger. Remember when you said you'd fix my bike after it went flat?'

H: 'I will! Eventually...'

Margot handed Brian his lunch. 'Just eat your donut, Brian. And Herbert, go find some coffee.'
