Herbert walked into the living room. "Margot, why is the sofa so height?" he asked. He tripped over the rug.

Margot sighed. "It's from that new designer, Lars!" she said. "Remember? He said it was modern."

Herbert looked at the strangely shaped furniture. It was all metal and glass. "Modern? It looks like a robot threw up!"

Brian walked in, covered in mud. "I was playing in the grass," he said. "And I found this!"

He held up a small, broken toy. It was shaped like a star.

"It's a symbol!" Laura said, walking in. "Maybe it means something important."

Herbert just wanted to sit down, but the sofa looked too dangerous. He went to the kitchen for a donut.
