Herbert sat at the kitchen table, reading a brochure. "Margot, look! A family tour of Italy!"

Margot, washing dishes, glanced over. "Italy? Herbert, we can't afford Italy."

"But it says 'cheap'!" Herbert insisted, pointing at the brochure. "Only�?�," he squinted, "�?�plus extra fees for, uh, everything."

Margot sighed. "'Cheap' and 'Italy' rarely go together, Herbert. And what do you intend to pay with? Your donut budget?"

Herbert looked thoughtful. "Maybe�?�"

Brian walked in, skateboard in hand. "What's up?" He grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl.

"Dad wants to go to Italy on a 'cheap' tour," Margot said, rolling her eyes.

Brian choked on his apple. "Italy? That's, like, a whole decade away from our budget, right?"

Herbert frowned. "Hey, I'm just saying, it's an option!"

Margot raised an eyebrow. "An option that involves selling the car, I suppose?"

Herbert mumbled something about finding extra money and went back to dreaming about pasta.

Brian grinned at Margot. "I intend to learn Italian. 'More pizza, please.' That's all I need."

Margot laughed. "Just focus on passing your math test. We are not going to Italy because of a cheap tour brochure."

"Maybe in a decade," Brian said, heading out the door.
