Herbert sat on the park bench, trying to look romantic. He'd brought Margot to Oakhaven Park for a picnic, hoping to earn some points after forgetting their anniversary.

He pulled out a slightly squashed box of chocolates. "Happy? belated anniversary," he mumbled.

Margot smiled, though her eyes held a hint of amusement. "Chocolates? Herbert, you know I'm trying to eat healthier."

Herbert shrugged. "They were on sale at the Corner Shop. Plus, I found this!" He held up a shiny coin.

"Oh, a penny," Margot said, unimpressed.

"Not just any penny! I'm going to throw it into the fountain! It's supposed to be lucky. The fountain is an attraction"

Herbert tossed the coin into the fountain with a flourish. Just then, a large goose waddled over and gave Herbert's sandwich a surprising bite.

"Hey!" Herbert yelled, jumping up. The goose, startled, honked and waddled away with a chunk of Herbert's sandwich.

Margot laughed. "Some romantic picnic," she said. "Maybe next time, we'll just stay home."

Herbert frowned, then stuck his tongue out slightly, tasting the air. "At least the goose didn't get the donuts I hid in the basket."
