Herbert sat at the kitchen table, a half-eaten donut in his hand. Margot was sorting through bills. "Margot," he began, "I have a business idea!"

Margot sighed, not looking up. "Oh, Herbert, not again. What is it this time?"

"This is different!" Herbert insisted. "It's about... donut identification! See, I can distinguish any donut by smell alone. We can start a donut-smelling consultancy!"

Margot finally looked up, a bemused expression on her face. "Herbert, that's... certainly an idea. But I think paying the electricity bill should be a priority right now."

Herbert waved his hand dismissively. "Details, details! First, we need a business plan, a draft of our services. Imagine: 'Donut ID, Inc.'!"

"Herbert," Margot said patiently, "we live in a democracy. We vote on important things, like whether to buy groceries or invest in 'Donut ID, Inc.' The groceries win."

Brian walked in, grabbing an apple. "Dad, are you still trying to pursue that donut smell thing? Seriously?" He rolled his eyes. "Maybe focus on getting a raise at Oakhaven Industries?"

Herbert frowned. "Everyone's a critic. You'll see! The world needs my donut-smelling skills!"

Margot patted Herbert's hand. "Just focus on not eating all the donuts first, dear."

Herbert took another bite of his donut, a thoughtful look on his face. "Good point."
