Herbert slumped onto the sofa, remote in hand. "Margot, the TV's giving off some weird radiation," he grumbled. "My head feels funny."

Margot, holding a duster, sighed. "Herbert, you've been sitting there since noon. It's called boredom. And the TV is fine."

"But the handyman said it needed to be strictly handled with care to avoid radiation exposure," Herbert insisted, patting his stomach. "He also said something about proper completion of the safety checks. Do you want me to call him back?"

Margot rolled her eyes. "That 'handyman' was Brian in disguise, Herbert. And he wanted money for ice cream."

Brian walked in, skateboarding heel clicking on the floor. "The venue for the skate competition has changed, Mom. It's at the park now!"

Herbert perked up. "A skate competition? Is there food?" Margot gave him a look. "And are they checking for dangerous levels of radiation? Safety first, Brian!"

Brian groaned. "Dad, seriously?" He grabbed an apple and fled.

Margot shook her head. "Honestly, sometimes I think I'm running a daycare, not a household."

Herbert stretched. "But it's my daycare, right?"
