Herbert Walker sighed, staring at the kitchen counter. A tiny rat had dared to nibble on his donut.
"Margot!" he called out. "We have a problem!"
Margot entered, wiping her hands on a towel. "What is it now, Herbert? Did you finally break the TV remote?"
"Worse!" Herbert exclaimed, pointing dramatically. "A rat ate my sprinkle donut! It's an outrage!"
Margot rolled her eyes. "Herbert, that's what happens when you leave donuts lying around. You should be more careful about your consumption of sweets anyway."

Later that day, Brian was sitting in his room, drawing. He was supposed to be doing homework, but his imagination was running wild. He drew himself as a superhero, capturing villains and saving Oakhaven.
Suddenly, he had an idea. He grabbed a marker and drew whiskers on his cheek. He would be 'Rat-Boy,' defender of donuts!

That evening, Herbert was watching TV when Brian, as Rat-Boy, burst in. He announced he was patrolling for donut thieves.
Herbert chuckled. "Well, be careful out there, son. Don't end up in jail."
Brian struck a heroic pose. "Rat-Boy fears no jail!"

The next morning, Margot found Brian asleep in the kitchen, still in his Rat-Boy costume, a half-eaten donut next to him. She sighed. Herbert's influence was undeniable.
She gently woke him. "Brian, up you get. Time for school. And no more crime-fighting before breakfast."
