Herbert slumped onto the couch, the TV remote already in his hand. Margot sighed, adjusting the sensitive volume on her laptop. "Herbert, could you try to find something educational? Or maybe just... quieter?"

Herbert grumbled. "Educational TV is boring. Besides, I'm trying to relax after a hard day at Oakhaven Industries. Making sure those conveyor belts run in parallel is more stressful than you think."

Margot rolled her eyes. "Initially, I thought you were going to help Brian with his science project tonight."

"Oh, that. Well, I had this amazing idea... what if we could transform the old garden shed into a proper lab for him?" Herbert suggested, eyes gleaming. "Like a real scientist!"

Margot stared at him. "Transform? Herbert, you can barely hang a picture straight."

Later, Brian walked in, holding a glass of water. "Mom, the kitchen sink is leaking again. It's a constant stream."

Margot groaned. "Of course it is. Herbert, you said you fixed it last week!"

Herbert, still glued to the TV, mumbled, "Details, details. It's just a minor setback. Think of it as... a water feature."

Brian exchanged a knowing glance with his mother. Margot just shook her head, grabbed her toolbox, and headed towards the kitchen.
