Herbert sat on the sofa, flipping through channels. "Margot, where's the TV guide?" he called out.

Margot entered the room, wiping her hands on her apron. "Herbert, you just had it. And it's all instant information now. Just press the guide button."

Herbert sighed dramatically. "Too much effort. This remote is already heavy enough."

Brian zoomed past on his skateboard, heading for the front door. "Later! I'm going to practice my ollies."

"Brian!" Margot called. "Watch out for Mrs. Gable's cat. And don't go near the dump behind the park!"

Brian shouted back, already halfway down the street, "Yeah, yeah!"

Herbert chuckled. "That boy is always full of energy."

Later that day, Laura was walking home from school when she saw Brian struggling to push his skateboard up a steep lane.

"Need some help?" she asked, adjusting her backpack.

Brian grimaced. "Nah, I'm good."

Suddenly, the skateboard slipped, and Brian went tumbling, landing in an unexpected pile of leaves.

Laura laughed, offering him a hand. "Maybe a little help would be decent after all?"

Brian, covered in leaves, grinned sheepishly. "Okay, okay. Just don't tell anyone I needed rescuing."

Example:Suddenly, the skateboard slipped, and Brian went tumbling, landing in an unexpected pile of leaves. (All'improvviso, lo skateboard è scivolato e Brian è caduto, atterrando in un mucchio di foglie inaspettato.)

decent

Translate: decente
Example:Maybe a little help would be decent after all? (Forse un po' di aiuto sarebbe decente dopo tutto?)
