Herbert sighed, staring at his work badge. "Another day at Oakhaven Industries... I wish I could get a promotion to something less...splintery."

Margot, stirring coffee, replied, "You know you have a tendency to daydream, Herbert. Focus on your safety inspections. That's what you're good at."

Herbert groaned. "But the monotony! It's a psychological barrier to productivity!"

Margot raised an eyebrow. "Did you get that from one of Brian's comics?"

"Maybe... Look, if I just won the lottery, I could rid myself of these fluorescent lights forever!"

Margot chuckled. "And what would you do then? Eat donuts all day?"

Herbert beamed. "Now you're talking! I could finally perfect my donut-smelling technique. Consequently, I�?Td be a donut expert!"

Brian walked in, grabbing a piece of toast. "Morning, dreamers. Dad, are you still plotting your escape from reality?"

Herbert winked. "Always, son. Always."
