Herbert was feeling particularly aggressive this morning. He wanted a donut, but Margot said no.

"I need to undergo some serious donut therapy," Herbert groaned, pacing the kitchen.

Margot sighed. "Herbert, you're entering the Oakhaven Pie contest again. You need to watch your sugar intake."

Herbert scoffed. "It's not about winning, Margot. It's about the principle of deliciousness! Besides, I'm building a new rail for the pie display. It will be revolutionary!"

Brian walked in, humming loudly. "Sounds like someone's practicing their opera voice," he said, grabbing a banana.

Herbert glared. "Very funny, Brian. Just you wait until my pie wins. Then we'll see who's singing."

Margot shook her head. "Just try not to eat all the ingredients before the contest, dear."

Later, Herbert was in the garden, hammering away at a crooked wooden rail. He muttered about pie-related injustices and the need for more sprinkles. Brian watched him, stifling a laugh.
