Herbert squinted at the solar panel salesman. "So, you're saying I can power the whole house with this thing?"

The salesman, a slick character named Barry, grinned. "Absolutely! You'll be rolling in savings!"

Margot, ever practical, interrupted. "Herbert, remember what happened last time you tried to 'save' money? The worm farm?"

Herbert waved his hand dismissively. "That was different. This is clean energy! Besides, I'm tired of dealing with those nasty electricity bills."

Barry, sensing a sale, pointed towards the sky. "Think of the environment! You'll be a hero to every inhabitant of Oakhaven!"

Later that day, Herbert was struggling with the solar panel on the roof. "This is harder than it looked," he muttered, sweat dripping down his forehead.

The panel was heavier than he expected, an unforeseen obstacle. He almost lost his grip.

"Maybe I should just... chop some branches off that tree," Herbert thought, eyeing the oak tree that partially shaded the roof. "More sun equals more power!"

Margot emerged from the house. "Herbert! What are you doing? Don't you dare touch that tree!"

Herbert sighed. "Just trying to save us some money, dear."
